Excel 2010 concatenate to cell contents

Open Excel 2010 and write numbers in column A. Click column C1 (to be on focus). Copy this or do step 3-5: =CONCATENATE(A1,"-"). Click Formulas then Text then CONCATENATE. Select Cell A1. Add your string – then click OK. Also in this way you can join several text string into one cell.

Step 1: Open Excel 2010 and write numbers in column A.


Step 2: Click column C1 (to be on focus).


Copy this or do step 3-5: =CONCATENATE(A1,"-")

Step 3: Click Formulas > Text > CONCATENATE.


Step 4: Select Cell A1.


Step 5: Add your string – then click OK.
